Step-by-Step: 5-Minute “Office Clothes Pilates”
🕐 Duration: 5 minutes💡 Goal: Relieve stiffness, activate your core, and improve posture while seated or standing.🪷 Tools: Your chair. That’s it.
1. Seated Spinal Roll (1 minute)
- Sit tall at the edge of your chair.
- Inhale, lengthen your spine.
- Exhale, roll down toward your knees; inhale back up.
Releases upper and lower back tension.
2. Shoulder Blade Squeeze (1 minute)
- Sit or stand tall.
- Inhale, squeeze shoulder blades together; exhale, release.Repeat 10 times.
Strengthens posture muscles and opens your chest.
3. Seated Leg Lift (1 minute)
- Sit upright, engage your core.
- Lift one leg straight out; hold for 3 seconds.
- Switch legs.
Activates lower abs and quads – your secret desk strength move.
4. Standing Chair Squat (1.5 minutes)
- Stand in front of your chair, feet hip-width apart.
- Inhale as you lower toward the seat; exhale to stand.Repeat 10-12 times.
Fires up glutes and thighs – boosts circulation without breaking a sweat.
5. Desk Push-Down Stretch (30 seconds)
- Place palms on your desk, walk back until your spine is long.
- Press hands down, drop your chest slightly.
Stretches shoulders, hamstrings, and back.
